AOCEF

Salient features of the AOCEF scheme are as under :-

• Eligibility. The scheme is applicable to all officers except NCC, TA, MNS.
• Subscription. Each officer irrespective of rank is required to pay a half yearly subscription of Rs 60/-. The payment of subscription is compulsory and is recovered by the CDA(O).
• Children Eligible for Benefits. Children, including legally adopted and step children of officers governed by the scheme are eligible for a period of eight years commencing on attaining 10 years of age till completion of 18 years. The scholarship is restricted to two senior-most eligible children only, in the officers entire career. Mentally retarded, physically handicapped children are exempt from this restriction.
• Payment of Scholarship. Scholarship at the rate of Rs 50/- per month is paid yearly, in arrears, during may each year. Payment is made directly to officers bankers from AOCEF.
• Payment of One time Educational Grant of Rs15000/= less what is already paid as scholarship so far on attainment of age of 18 years. AOCEF automatically initiates the payment by cheque. You need contact them only if AOCEF fails to intiate the correspondence when time comes.
